The hot, dry landscape of southeastern Alberta presents unique challenges for reclaiming disturbed rangelands back to native cover. Together with the Orphan Well Association and Jorgensen Land Management, the Grassland Restoration Forum (GRF) is hosting a one-day field tour showcasing reclamation projects near Manyberries, with a focus on achieving native prairie land equivalency in critical sage grouse habitat.

Join industry experts in the field as they share their knowledge and experience on regional reclamation challenges, innovative approaches, and best management practices.

Audience          
The tour is intended for reclamation practitioners, industry environmental coordinators, grassland stewards, and anyone interested in learning more about reclaiming disturbed lands within Alberta’s Dry Mixedgrass Subregion. We will be travelling together by bus from Manyberries Community Hall.
