2025 Fall Information Session – Home on the Range: Our Commitment to Grassland Restoration
Our Perennial Gathering! GRF’s 18th Annual Fall Information Session will be in Claresholm on November 20th, 2025. The one day Fall Information Session gathers a variety of industry and grassland stakeholders to exchange current information on grassland restoration and conservation through a variety of presentations and mini updates.
This year’s theme is Home on the Range: Our Commitment to Grassland Restoration and we are adding a new ‘Panel Discussion’ component to the program.
The GRF is pleased to welcome this year’s featured local artist who is currently hard at work putting together some customized pieces targeting the GRF’s territory and audience. For a preview of his work and more please check out Colin Starkevich’s website at: www.colinstarkevich.com
Please note that this is a full day event, but start/end times listed are approximate until the day’s program is finalized and posted. Stay tuned for content updates!
GRF SWAG is only available at GRF Events/Workshops or at the traveling GRF Booth attending conferences.
The Grassland Restoration could not function or host excellent events/training without the continued support of volunteers, donations and sponsorships. ALL contributions help, big or small and we sincerely thank everyone for attending and contributing to the GRF community over the years!
If you or your organization is interested in sponsoring this event or the GRF in general please contact Donna at: corpirate@shaw.ca or Carrie Cooley at: admin@sasci.ca. The downloadable pdf below outlines some specific ways to help with the Fall Information Session.
How to Use the Range Plant Community Guides and Recovery Strategies
Unfortunately with a number of late cancellations for the Range Plant Community Guides & Recovery Strategies Workshop scheduled for September 13th, 2023 we’ve had to make the tough decision to cancel the workshop for this fall due to insufficient registrations for a cost recovery event. We will be offering the same workshop in conjunction with the CLRA Conference in March 2024. The GRF Mailing list will receive notice/announcements about the event as details become available.
We are still proceeding as planned with the Grassland Assessment Classroom & Hands on Field Training on September 14th at the Cassils Hall/Antelope Creek Ranch.
Apologies for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
